Cedric Coward provided a spark on the offensive end, pouring in 17 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, forming a potent scoring tandem that kept the Grizzlies in control throughout the contest.

Kennedy Chandler contributed 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while Noa Essengue anchored the defensive effort with two steals and four blocks. Chicago fell to 0-1 to open NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas.

Boozer helped Memphis take a 51-45 lead into halftime, capping the first half with a layup to give him nine points. Coward paced the Grizzlies with 12 first-half points, while Wilson led Chicago with 13.
Memphis appeared to seize control with a strong third quarter, but the Bulls opened the fourth on a 13-6 run to trim the deficit and make it a game down the stretch.
Chicago used a late 4-0 run to make things interesting in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to two points with nine seconds remaining.
Despite a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Wilson, the comeback attempt fell short as Boozer calmly knocked down two free throws with six seconds left and Memphis came up with key defensive stops and forced crucial Bulls turnovers to close out the victory.
While Chicago opened its Las Vegas Summer League schedule on Friday, Memphis entered the event with momentum after posting a 3-1 record in the Salt Lake City Summer League.
The Grizzlies opened Summer League play with a commanding 111-74 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, with Boozer making his debut by scoring 15 points.
Memphis followed with a 109-100 loss to the Utah Jazz despite 18 points and seven rebounds from the former Duke standout. The Grizzlies rested Boozer and several other key players in a 96-82 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Salt Lake City finale to finish third, going 1-2.
The Grizzlies return to action Monday against the Dallas Mavericks, while the Bulls will face the Utah Jazz later that day.
