Trae Young Vows to Be His 'Best Version' After Signing New Wizards Contract in NBA Free Agency
Trae Young pledged his commitment to the Washington Wizards this offseason when he signed a four-year, $212 million deal after entering free agency.
Now, he's ready to give the Wizards his all.
The star point guard posted on social media Wednesday that he is going to be the "best version" of himself this season.

At his best, Young is an elite scorer and arguably the best passer in the league. In his last healthy season in 2024-25, he put up 24.2 points and 11.6 assists per game.
Unfortunately, fans didn't see that version of him last season when he played just 15 games, five of which came after he was traded to Washington.
But if he's able to come back healthy, the Wizards could be a team to watch to make it out of the East. Along with Young, they'll have star big man Anthony Davis, a promising rookie in AJ Dybantsa and a cast of solid role players.
