Jaylen Confused by 'Weird' Trade
Both Browns have had pretty comparable career trajectories, especially this offseason. Jaylen and AJ both brought championships to their respective cities but found themselves on the trade block this summer.
The Eagles ultimately traded AJ from Philadelphia to Boston, while Brown was sent from Boston to Philadelphia, essentially switching places with one another.
The Eagles received a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick in the deal, while the Celtics landed Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks.
Perhaps the only difference is the pure shock factor of the Jaylen Brown trade, since the 76ers weren't exactly viewed as one of his top landing spots. AJ Brown, on the other hand, was long expected to end up in New England.
Now, the two share similar goals as they look to lead their new teams to success.
Both were thrust into pretty good positions, as the Patriots reached the Super Bowl a year ago and look poised for another big year with Drake Maye under center.
The Philadelphia 76ers had a solid season last year, reaching the second round of the playoffs, and now they'll have a core of Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, along with a plethora of solid role players.
