New LeBron James Rumors on NBA Free Agency Meeting Plans After Rich Paul's Viral Whiteboard Photo
LeBron James has a big decision to make as he chooses his next team in free agency, but it sounds like his agent will be doing plenty of legwork on his behalf.
NBA insider Chris Haynes reported on NBA TV's The Association that Rich Paul plans to speak with interested teams and relay the information to James, who will then make a decision based on what he is told.
"As of right now there are no plans for LeBron to engage in any meetings to allow teams to pitch him on the idea of coming to their prospective teams," Haynes said. "What I am told is his agent, Rich Paul, is doing all the background work. He's talking with teams, and then in return he will relay all the intel and data to LeBron James, in which LeBron will make a decision."

Bron Would Make 76ers True Contenders 😤
Paul broke down some potential landing spots on his podcast last week, citing the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks as options.
James, 41, is likely past the point in his career where he wants to meet with dozens of teams to hear the pitches, especially when he could be operating on a one-year timeline with retirement on the way.
Perhaps when he is down to just a few teams, he will actually be in the room with his agent, but it appears as of now, a handful of teams won't get the chance to talk to James face-to-face.
