Giannis Says 'I Don't F--k With Nobody' in New Video About His NBA Rivalries After Heat Trade
Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked on n3on's stream if he has any rivalries across the NBA. He didn't specify, though it was more a matter of not being able to pick just one.
"Rivalries? Everybody," he said. "Bro I don't f--k with nobody."
One might point to the Indiana Pacers as a particularly heated rivalry for Giannis during his time with the Milwaukee Bucks, but he's long kept some distance from other stars around the NBA. In other words, Monday's answer wasn't surprising.
"Was [Kobe Bryant] ever close?" he told ESPN back in 2019. "Was Kevin Garnett ever close with the guys he played against? Or [Michael Jordan]? ... I think it's just being competitive. If I know that I'm going to play against them and I'm going to see them in the playoffs or I'm going to see them in many more years to come, I try to stay away and not build that relationship because I know that when I get on the court I'm going to go 100 percent. And maybe if you build a relationship with somebody or I'm close with somebody, he probably expects me to go 50 percent or take it easy on him. But that's... I don't want things holding me back when I go out there and play."
So no friends, all rivals. Heat Culture is gonna eat that up.
