Jalen Brunson, KAT, Knicks React to Mitchell Robinson's Celtics Contract in NBA Free Agency
Mitchell Robinson will now be an Eastern Conference rival after joining the Boston Celtics, but his former New York Knicks teammates still have nothing but love for the big man.
After ESPN's Shams Charania reported Robinson and the Celtics agreed to a three-year, $47.4 million deal that featured a player option for the final season on Wednesday, Robinson took to Instagram to write a farewell post for the Knicks.
That drew responses from Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and other New York players:

"Life a climb but, the view's great," Robinson wrote.
"New York Knicks fans and the whole Knicks organization, the past 8 years have been the highlight of my life. I can't thank you guys enough for the journey and opportunities. I know it's a lot of emotions going around trust me I feel it myself. But I will always have love for where it all started! I love you and will miss you! Once a Knick always a Knicks."
New York selected Robinson with a second-round pick in the 2018 NBA draft, and he played his first eight seasons with the team.
That tenure culminated in a championship victory over the San Antonio Spurs last season in a series that saw him contribute off the bench as a rebounder and defender on Victor Wembanyama. In fact, he grabbed 10 boards in the closeout Game 5 and averaged 5.6 rebounds per game in the series.
While Robinson was never a primary contributor for the Knicks and didn't average double-digit scoring totals in any of his eight seasons, his ability to provide a spark off the bench on the defensive side and with his prowess on the boards was important.
He figures to play a more significant role with a Celtics team that doesn't have Towns in their frontcourt, but he will forever be a champion with the Knicks.
