Jaylen Brown's Viral Comments on Joel Embiid, Flopping Resurface After 76ers-Celtics Trade
Just over a month ago, Jaylen Brown publicly criticized Joel Embiid for his flopping tendencies.
Now, they're teammates.
Brown was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers from the Boston Celtics on Wednesday in return for Paul George and a handful of picks. His comments about Embiid immediately became more interesting following the trade.
"Joel Embiid is a great player, one of the best bigs in basketball history," Brown said on a Twitch livestream. "He flops."
Brown surely has plenty of respect for Embiid given how often the two have gone up against one another in the playoffs, but he might have to swallow his pride and issue an apology once he gets to Philadelphia.
If the two can put their past behind them, they could lead Philadelphia to a championship.
The trio of Brown, Embiid and Tyrese Maxey will be one of the best in the league if they all stay healthy. Philadelphia also has a solid group around those three, so the Sixers will be a team to watch in the East.
