Cameron Carr, Adou Thiero Headline Lakers 2026 NBA Summer League Roster, Full Schedule Released

Los Angeles Lakers fans will have their first chance to see first-round pick Cameron Carr in action later this week.

The Lakers released their full Summer League roster, highlighted by Carr and Adou Thiero, along with their Summer League schedule on Wednesday. They'll play their first game on Friday.

After taking on the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs in San Francisco this week, the Lakers begin Summer League in Las Vegas on July 10. NBA Summer League will culminate with the four-team tournament starting on July 17.

While Lakers fans are likely still mourning LeBron James' departure, they have something to look forward to in Carr.

Carr, who spent two seasons at Tennessee before transferring to Baylor, had a phenomenal 2025-26 campaign, putting up 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.

He also stood out at the NBA combine scrimmage, posting 30 points against other draft hopefuls.

Bleacher Report's Jonathan Wasserman compared Carr to Devin Vassell, who helped lead the Spurs to the NBA Finals last month. While Carr will most likely spend some time in the G League, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get rotational minutes early in his career.

Thiero, a second-round pick in 2025, didn't get much run time in the NBA last year, but he performed well in the G League, averaging 15.3 points per game on 60.4 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep.

If he keeps scoring with that kind of efficiency, he could make it into the Lakers' rotation this season.
