PGA Tour Jokes About LeBron James Addition in Trending Photo After NBA Star's Lakers Exit

LeBron James is pondering his next NBA move after confirming on Tuesday that he is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers after eight seasons.

Although James will be playing in the NBA, the PGA Tour joked that it's rolling out the red carpet for the avid golfer.

James picked up golf in the summer of 2025, and he hasn't been shy about his love of the sport.

Of note, he did a collaboration with the Bob Does Sports crew and even did a Nike and Beats By Dre commercial with pro golfer Tom Kim, who just finished third at the U.S. Open.

James explained last March, after a question from Melissa Rohlin of the California Post, why he loves the sport.

"I told myself when I turned 40 that I wanted to do something that was maybe uncomfortable or never done in my life before. I never played golf in my life before, never followed the sport really. When I turned 40, I said it was that and chess; I've never played chess as well. So that will be next, but right now, I'm locked in on golf," James said.

"It's something that I've really put a lot of time in. I love the sport, appreciate the sport. I love how difficult it is; I love a challenge. So, I look forward to putting more work in over the course of however long it takes me. But right now, I'm having a hell of a time playing."

Right now, though, basketball is his main sport as the 41-year-old James plans to enter his 24th NBA season. The four-time NBA MVP, four-time NBA champion and 21-time All-NBA team player is still excelling in the league after averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds.
