NBA Fans Sound Off on Kawhi Leonard's Raptors Return After Blockbuster Trade With Clippers

Kawhi Leonard is heading back to Canada.

The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing a deal to send Leonard to the Toronto Raptors in return for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick and a handful of picks, per ESPN's Shams Charania.

NBA fans are all for the move.

The trade marks a reunion between Leonard and the Raptors, who spent just one season together, but found tremendous success.

Leonard, after being traded by the San Antonio Spurs ahead of the 2018-19 season, put together one of the best campaigns of his career and led Toronto to its first and only championship.

Unfortunately for Raptors fans, Leonard bolted for Los Angeles shortly after winning the title. Now, he'll return seven years later and try to repeat the success from his first tenure.

While Leonard has been a bit injury-prone since leaving Toronto, he's coming off an All-NBA season in which he averaged 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game.

He'll team up with a young star in Scottie Barnes, who is an All-Defense caliber player just like Leonard. The Raptors also have RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a few other solid role players on the roster.

The NBA has changed a lot since Leonard was last in Toronto, and the Raptors don't exactly have a clear path to the Finals, but their hopes of winning a title increase tremendously with the acquisition of Leonard.
