Jalen Brunson Reveals His Mount Rushmore of NY Athletes in New Video After Knicks' Title NBA Win
After bringing the New York Knicks their first NBA championship since 1973, star point guard Jalen Brunson solidified himself as one of the greatest athletes in New York sports history.
However, Brunson isn't getting ahead of himself, as the 2026 NBA Finals MVP revealed his Mount Rushmore of New York athletes to Sports Illustrated, and he didn't include himself.
"Derek Jeter. Eli Manning. Joe Namath," Brunson said. "I'll put a Knick in there, I got three to choose from. I'm gonna give it to the point guard, give it to Clyde Frazier."

Brunson has endeared himself to New York fans since he joined the Knicks in 2022, so others might already have him on their Mount Rushmore. Still, it's unsurprising that the 29-year-old humbly paid respect to the legends that came before him.
