New Jaylen Brown Trade Rumors Uncover Celtics' Asking Price, Front-Runner for Deal
Following Giannis Antetokounmpo's trade to the Miami Heat, Jaylen Brown is perhaps the biggest potential trade candidate remaining this offseason.
But any team hoping to land the former Finals MVP will have to come with a big offer.
Per The Athletic's Sam Amick, the Celtics are asking for up to four first-round picks in return for Brown. Amick noted that the Portland Trail Blazers are viewed as the front-runner for Brown.
The Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks reportedly have interest in Brown, as do the Los Angeles Clippers. The New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic were previously linked to Brown, though HoopsHype's Michael Scotto noted that those squads are not in the mix.
The Celtics reportedly have interest in Cleveland Cavaliers star Evan Mobley in a potential deal for Brown, but whether the Cavs have mutual interest is unclear.
Brown's trade value has likely never been higher after the season he just had. With Jayson Tatum out for most of the year, Brown put up 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
