AJ Dybantsa Shares Video of Workout, Photoshoot, More After Being Wizards' No. 1 Draft Pick
It didn't take AJ Dybantsa long to get back to work after being drafted first overall by the Washington Wizards last week.
The former BYU star posted a video taking fans through his first few days as a Wizard. Along with photoshoots, press conferences and the other things that come with being drafted, he got a tour of the team facilities from franchise legend John Wall.
He then had the chance to get his first workout in with the Wizards' coaching staff.
Expectations for Dybantsa are high after his outstanding college career.
The Big 12 Freshman of the Year and All-American led the nation in scoring with 25.5 points per game, adding 6.8 boards and 3.7 assists while shooting an efficient 51 percent from deep.
Washington is hoping he can be the next face of the franchise after the Wizards have struggled to find success for so long.
The pairing of Dybantsa alongside veterans Trae Young and Anthony Davis makes the Wizards a team to watch next year, but whether they're ready to compete in the playoffs remains to be seen.
