New Jaylen Brown Trade Rumors on Potential Western Conference Landing Spot amid Celtics Buzz
Could Nikola Jokić team up with Jaylen Brown in Denver?
It's certainly possible, though perhaps unlikely at this point. According to NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer, "Sources say that the Nuggets have at least internally discussed whether they have the asset wherewithal to join the trade chase for Boston's Brown, but the Nuggets have yet to emerge as a bonafide landing spot for the Celtics' MVP candidate."
With ESPN's Shams Charania reporting Friday that the Celtics have been seeking at least four first-round picks in some trade discussions for Brown, anybody who enters the fray will be paying a hefty sum.
A one-two punch of Jokić and Brown would be lethal, however, giving the Nuggets an elite two-way wing to pair with the most uniquely gifted offensive center of his generation. Brown is fresh off a season that saw him average 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and a steal per game, and he's going to have plenty of suitors if the Celtics do indeed trade him.
The rest of the Western Conference is hoping his ultimate destination isn't Denver.
