Jalen Brunson Gets Knicks-Style WWE Belt Signed by Roman Reigns After NBA Title
New York Knicks point guard, NBA champion and wrestling fan Jalen Brunson revealed on his Instagram story that he received a Knicks-themed WWE belt signed by World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.
Brunson notably appeared on the June 28, 2024 edition of WWE SmackDown, sliding into the ring with a steel chair to defend LA Knight against Logan Paul and Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

That SmackDown took place in Brunson's home arena, Madison Square Garden. Brunson and LA Knight were babyfaces, while Haliburton, whose Pacers knocked the injury-shortened Knicks out of the Eastern Conference semifinals in May, played the heel alongside Paul.
Haliburton was about to toss Paul some brass knuckles during his match but got stopped. Eventually, the four of them squared off in the ring before Haliburton and Paul left the ring.
In the present date, WWE star Danhausen got recognition for "uncursing" the Knicks prior to Game 6 of the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks then beat Atlanta 140-89, part of a stretch where New York went 15-1 to close the playoffs en route to the championship.
Brunson was asked about it on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
"At first I was a little skeptical, but I mean, you have to believe it now," Brunson said.
After a fantastic playoff run, Brunson's a champion, and now he even has a WWE Knicks-themed championship belt to show for it.
