Cowboys' AT&T Stadium Gets Curtains for World Cup Match in Photo amid Jerry Jones Criticism
Curtains were put up at AT&T Stadium, which is typically home to the Dallas Cowboys, to block sunlight in the venue's west end for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The west end of the stadium contains large sliding glass panels, which has led to sunlight streaming through and impacting games at times. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones rejected suggestions of a curtain in the past, though.

"We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium." Jones said in 2024, per Jamie Stengle of the Associated Press "Let's just tear the damn stadium down and build another one. Are you kidding me?"
Curtains were ultimately put up for the 2026 World Cup group stage clash between Japan and Sweden on Thursday, after the stadium initially just used tinted windows for earlier games. Nine total matches are set to take place in AT&T Stadium.
The next World Cup matchup in the stadium is between Argentina and Jordan on Saturday. Curtains shouldn't be necessary for that meeting, as it starts at 10 p.m. ET.
