Warriors Reportedly Land Record Jersey Patch Sponsorship Agreement Ahead of 2026-27 NBA Season
The Golden State Warriors will reportedly have a new jersey patch for the 2026-27 season.
According to Sportico's Kurt Badenhausen, the Warriors agreed to a multi-year jersey patch sponsorship worth over $50 million per year with AI cloud firm Iren.
It represents the richest sponsorship deal in the history of North American team sports, per Badenhausen.
Golden State previously had a jersey patch sponsorship agreement with Rakuten, which was used from the 2017-18 season through the team's 2025-26 campaign.
The deal with Rakuten was worth $20 million per year, via Sports Business Journal.
While Rakuten no longer has a patch on Warriors jerseys, both sides announced a new multi-year partnership to focus on fan engagement and community impact on June 18.
As for Golden State's new jersey patch, the partnership with Iren spans the entire organization and extends to the WNBA's Golden State Valkyries as well as the NBA G League's Santa Cruz Warriors (via Badenhausen).
Golden State and Iren are also planning to refurbish local basketball courts while distributing 10,000 Warriors jerseys to youth in underserved communities on an annual basis.
The team is coming off a 2025-26 season in which it finished with a 37-45 record, narrowly missing the playoffs after falling in the second game of the league's play-in tournament.
