AJ Dybantsa Says He Was 'Trolling' About Wanting Trae Young's Wizards Jersey Number After NBA Draft
Washington Wizards forward AJ Dybantsa wore No. 3 at BYU, which happens to be Wizards guard and new teammate Trae Young's number in D.C.
Dybantsa joked on the Gil's Arena podcast with former Wizards star guard Gilbert Arenas earlier in June that he needed that No. 3 from Young.
"If they draft me, I do need 3, Trae. If they draft me. You never know, we gonna see in like five weeks," Dybantsa said.

However, Dybantsa has since clarified in a draft night interview with JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports that he was just joking.
Young has welcomed Dybantsa to D.C. and even said (with a wink) that they would talk about the number.
That conversation won't be happening, of course, but the draft's latest No. 1 overall pick seems thrilled to be in Washington, which looks like a legitimate playoff contender that sports a potential starting five of Young, Dybantsa, Kyshawn George, Alex Sarr and Anthony Davis.
That's a good group on paper as the Wizards try to rebuild and move on from a last-place season. They certainly have the talent to do so, especially with Dybantsa aboard.
