Keaton Wagler Tells Bizarre Story About 'Weird' Exchange With Unnamed Team Before NBA Draft
Before being drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, Keaton Wagler had an odd exchange during a pre-draft interview.
Wagler told ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly that an unnamed team used photos of random people while displaying pictures of Wagler's family.
"There was one team that put up pictures of me and my family, and a couple of them just weren't even my family," he said. "I was like, 'That's weird.' They asked me like, 'Who are these people?' and I was like, 'I actually don't know who those people are.'"
It's an innocent mistake for a team to make, but nonetheless a strange one that was likely a turn-off for Wagler, who was one of the top prospects in this year's draft class.
Ultimately, the Clippers picked up the former Illinois star at No. 5, and he's hoping to make an immediate impact on a team built around Kawhi Leonard and Darius Garland.
