49ers Exploring Relocation of Practice Facility Amid Electrical Substation Conspiracy
The San Francisco 49ers are looking into potentially moving their practice facility, though not because they are feeding into the absurd idea that its current location being near an electrical substation is a source of their injury issues from the 2025 season.
Per Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the 49ers are "exploring" relocating their practice facility to create more space given its close proximity to Levi's Stadium.

Realistic Expectations for Every Rookie NFL QB
One notable thing 49ers CEO Al Guido told Tafur is the club has taken extra steps this offseason in an attempt to help avoid the volume of injuries that have plagued their roster throughout much of Kyle Shanahan's tenure as head coach.
Those include upgrading the weight room, hydrotherapy and rehab areas at the practice facility.
"Everything is geared to winning the Super Bowl," Guido said. "We have been to three in the last 30 years and not won any. That's the appetite with everyone here, and this is the right time to do it. In talking to our fans, I think they feel that, too."
49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters in March the organization is spending $9 million to improve those areas, in addition to hiring three new members to their training staff with a concentration in physical therapy.
The conspiracy theory about the electrical substation being a primary source of the 49ers' injuries went viral on social media in January, with the idea being their collagen and tendons were being weakened due to the low-frequency electromagnetic fields.
Even though it was absurd when the conspiracy came out, the 49ers admitted they were going to look into everything to determine why they seemed to get injured at an extreme rate.
Lynch revealed in March they hired an independent scientist to investigate the substation and it was deemed to be a "big nothing burger."
The 49ers' practice facility has been in the same location since 1988, so if there is a connection to the substation, it's a bit odd that it took almost 30 years to really have an impact.
