New NBA Mock Draft from Kevin O'Connor Drops Ahead of Round 1 with Cam Boozer, Darryn Peterson Intel
The NBA draft is just hours away, and the question on everyone's mind is whether AJ Dybantsa or Darryn Peterson will go first overall to the Washington Wizards.
Yahoo's Kevin O'Connor dropped his final mock draft on Tuesday, where he projected the Wizards to take Dybantsa at No. 1. He had Peterson going to the Utah Jazz at No. 2, noting that "league sources expect" the Kansas star to be off the board second overall.
From there, O'Connor projected Duke star and National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer to be selected by the Memphis Grizzlies at No. 3, followed by North Carolina's Caleb Wilson at No. 4.
Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer and Wilson appear to be the consensus top four in this year's draft, but the rest of the lottery is a bit unpredictable. O'Connor projects Mikel Brown Jr., Keaton Wagler and Darius Acuff Jr. to follow after the top four.
While the exact ranking of this year's class has been highly debated, there's little question regarding the talent in the group. If expectations are met, this year's class could be one for the ages.
