Josh Hart Calls Out Wemby, Spurs' Disrespect for Not Giving Knicks Credit During NBA Finals
New York Knicks guard Josh Hart didn't appreciate what he felt was a lack of respect from the team's NBA Finals opponent.
At a live recording of The Roommates Show, Hart asserted the Spurs "ain't give us no credit."
"Obviously, we don't know what their locker room was, and I'm sure they felt like they didn't play their best at times. Same as us," he said (9:50 mark of the video below). "But I felt like for us we always give that respect. We always respect the game. Sometimes us not playing our best is because they came out with a level of intensity, and they imposed their will on the game and they didn't allow us to play our best. And I feel like we did that, and they never gave us credit."

Top 3 Priorities for New York Knicks in NBA Offseason
Spurs players, including Victor Wembanyama, declined to shake hands with the Knicks at the end of the series-ending Game 5.
Thanks to San Antonio's penchant for blowing leads, the postgame focus also centered more so on what the Spurs were doing wrong rather than what the Knicks were doing right.
That probably worked in New York's favor because Hart said he and his teammates drew plenty of motivation based on what they heard coming from the Spurs' side.
Wembanyama learned the hard way about how opposing teams are quick to latch onto whatever they consider to be a perceived slight.
