Jaylen Brown Trade Value by Bucks amid Giannis, Celtics, Blazers Buzz Revealed in New NBA Rumors
There reportedly is some uncertainty regarding how the Milwaukee Bucks view Jaylen Brown as a potential centerpiece to a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade with the Boston Celtics.
According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Celtics would welcome a "one-for-one swap." However, it is "unclear" if the Bucks would attempt to build around Brown should they receive him in a Giannis trade, or if they would prefer to flip him elsewhere for young players and draft picks.
Either way, Amick noted that it is "widely believed" the Bucks will want more than just Brown in a trade for Antetokounmpo, such as the three future first-round picks Boston is able to offer.

Buzz: Pistons Could Help in Giannis Trade

Heat May Be Giannis Favorites
One team to watch when it comes to Brown is the Portland Trail Blazers, who have "serious interest" in him, per Amick. The Blazers reportedly have interest in Giannis as well, but are on the "outside looking in," which could prompt them to pivot to Brown if he becomes available.
The 29-year-old Brown has played 10 NBA seasons, all with the Celtics since going third overall to Boston in the 2016 NBA draft.
He has been named an All-Star in each of the past four and five of the past six seasons, and he etched his name in Celtics history in 2024 when he was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP en route to Boston winning the NBA championship.
Last season was the best of Brown's career statistically, as he averaged a career-high 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc.
With Jayson Tatum missing all but 16 games while recovering from a torn Achilles, Brown was the Celtics' go-to guy throughout the campaign, and it resulted in the second All-NBA Second Team selection of his career and a career-best finish of sixth in NBA MVP voting.
Many expected the Celtics to take a step backward last season due to Tatum's injury and the departures of Kristaps Porziņģis and Jrue Holiday, but thanks largely to Brown's play, they finished with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 56-26.
Boston surprisingly fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA draft, though, which could have been the impetus behind the Celtics at least considering a blockbuster trade for Antetokounmpo.
Given that the Bucks went just 32-50 last season, it is fair to wonder if their supporting cast would be anywhere good enough to be contenders with Brown replacing Giannis.
Because of that, flipping Brown may be the best long-term move for the Bucks if they trade Giannis to Boston, and Amick's report suggests Milwaukee would have at least one highly interested party to work with in Portland.
