Knicks' Mikal Bridges Shouts Out Dog Sonny in Trending Video From NBA Title Parade

Mikal Bridges brought a four-legged friend to the New York Knicks' 2026 NBA championship celebration parade through Manhattan.

Bridges' dog, Sonny, accompanied his owner on a float during Thursday morning's ticker-tape parade.

"That's my son right there," Bridges, who was wearing a Pacôme Dadiet jersey, told MSG Networks. "He takes care of me, I take care of him."

Bridges first talked about his plan to bring Sonny to the parade in Monday appearance with his teammates on Good Morning America.

"I just want to bring my dog on the float," Bridges said.

That wish came true Thursday as the Knicks parade wound from The Battery to a championship celebration at City Hall.

Bridges averaged 13.5 points per playoff game and 10.4 points through NBA Finals game as the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in five games.

Last Saturday's Game 5 win marked the first NBA title in 53 years for the Knicks, as well as the first ticker-tape parade in the franchise's history.
