Watch Wild Videos of Knicks Fans Fill NYC Streets & Attempt to Arrive Hours Before NBA Title Parade
Waiting 53 years to see the New York Knicks win a championship means their fans are eager to secure a spot in line for an up-close seat at the victory parade on Thursday morning.
Videos posted on social media show the frenzy happening throughout Manhattan with people gathering overnight to ensure they can see their beloved Knicks.
Projections for the crowd to watch Thursday's parade are expected to be historic, with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani telling reporters it could end up being the "largest parade" in the history of the city.
For perspective, the 2025 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade drew an estimated crowd of more than 3.5 million people.
The Knicks ended their 53-year championship drought by defeating the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. They will formally celebrate with their fans on Thursday when the parade starts at 10 a.m. ET.
