Draymond Green Calls Out Wemby, Spurs Not Shaking Knicks' Hands After NBA Title Loss in New Video
Draymond Green was not a fan of Victor Wembanyama and many of his teammates skipping handshakes with the New York Knicks after they won the title in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
"If I'm mad because I lost, do something about it. But the time to do it something about it actually isn't to walk off the court because you had a chance to do something about it and you lost," Green said on his podcast (4:42 mark). "So to walk off the court to me it ain't about sportsmanship.ย That's about we just looked each other in the eyes five, six, seven games in a row. And now that I beat you, you're afraid to look me in my eyes. Remember what I said? If you leave, I own you."

Brunson Reacts to Wemby's Shove

Thibs 'Still Hurt' by Firing Decision
He hasn't been the only one to critique Wemby in the aftermath:
It's easy enough to forget that Wemby is only 22, especially because in many ways he seems mature beyond his years. The disappointment of losing an NBA Finalsโand how he handled that disappointmentโwas perhaps not his best moment. But there's clearly a fire inside of him, and in this case, it perhaps burned a bit too hot.
