Brunson, who previously named Clutch Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season, shined throughout New York's latest playoff run.
He averaged 28.4 points, 6.1 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while connecting on 46.5 percent of his field goals and 36.3 percent of his triples in 19 postseason appearances.
Brunson also recorded 9.9 points per game in the fourth quarter during the 2026 playoffs, the highest mark among all players.
During the Knicks' 2026 NBA Finals victory over the San Antonio Spurs, he led all players by averaging 4.4 points per game in clutch situations. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama ranked No. 2 at 2.6 points per game in the clutch.
Brunson particularly shined during Game 5 against San Antonio, scoring 45 points on 14-of-27 shooting as New York closed out the series and ended a 53-year championship drought.
