Harper 'Upset' With Minutes During Season 👀
A lot of fans will share KAT's overall assessment, but the Finals were a bit of a reality check for San Antonio.
As much poise as the Spurs showed in eliminating the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, they looked a little overawed by the stage as they surrendered multiple double-digit leads to New York.
Between Games 4 and 5, Wembanyama shot 16-of-44 from the field and scored 43 points. He didn't perform at the level that was needed of him with a championship on the line.
The Finals will undoubtedly be a learning experience for Wemby and his teammates. It's hard to lift a title without experiencing some postseason heartbreak first.
Despite Saturday's setback, the Spurs are set up well for the long term.
