Wemby, De'Aaron Fox, Spurs Ripped by Fans amid Epic Collapse in Game 4 Loss to Knicks

Zach BacharJun 11, 2026

Victor Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox and the San Antonio Spurs collapsed in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals on Wednesday night, blowing a 29-point lead to the New York Knicks before losing by the final score of 107-106.

With the Spurs holding a one-point lead and 16 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Fox chose to attempt a layup that was blocked by Knicks forward OG Anunoby instead of waiting to get fouled or running out the clock.

On New York's ensuing possession, Anunoby tipped in an offensive rebound for the game-winning bucket.

The Spurs started off strong on Wednesday, holding a 41-22 lead at the end of the first quarter and extending their advantage to 29 points in the second.

San Antonio held another 29-point edge early in the third quarter, although New York outscored the Spurs 51-23 immediately afterwards before Anunoby's putback gave the Knicks the win as well as a 3-1 series lead.
