Jaylen Brown Reacts to Trae Young Saying He's 'Slept On' from Trending Video

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown reacted to the Washington Wizards' Trae Young saying this is "the most slept on I've been in my entire life."

"They gone move the bar," Brown wrote in response.

Brown was reacting to comments made by Young on a recent episode of The Pivot Podcast.

"Even when I was in high school, I wasn't this slept on," Young said around the 27:00 mark of the podcast.

Young continued, "I learned over the years, there's a lot of recency bias that goes on, especially if media... I know if we start winning, imagine the Wizards as a No. 1 team in the East next year. What people gonna be saying? So, it's just, like, I don't, I can't get caught up in what people are saying now."

Brown is coming out of the highest-scoring season of his career, during which he averaged 28.7 points per game while taking over for an injured Jayson Tatum as the Celtics' lead playmaker.

Young is hoping to have a similar breakout campaign with the Wizards after he recovers from the injuries that limited him to just 15 games last season.

The Wizards went 17-65 last season and haven't recorded a winning record since 2018. Young might start to get the recognition he's looking for if he's able to help his team turn things around in 2026-27.
