NBA Finals Bracket 2026 Odds, Box Score Predictions for Spurs vs. Knicks Game 4

Zach BuckleyJun 10, 2026

Each game of the NBA Finals is inevitably a stakes-raiser.

That'll just feel more obvious Wednesday night than perhaps it has at any point so far.

Because the New York Knicks have a great chance to again seize control of this series and perhaps grab a seemingly insurmountable 3-1 advantage. But the San Antonio Spurs also have a chance to even the score at two wins apiece and reclaim home-court advantage for what would then be just a best-of-three fight to the finish line.

Of course, the game really only holds that kind of relevance because the Spurs finally delivered a 48-minute effort in their had-to-have-it 115-111 triumph in Monday's Game 3. OK, so they weren't 48 perfect minutes—San Antonio lost the second quarter 42-24—but they made it work thanks to huge contributions from Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and De'Aaron Fox.

De'Aaron Fox124-1438

The Knicks, meanwhile, will be trying to figure out where things went awry in Monday's second half. Aiming for a more egalitarian approach on offense might be a start. Jalen Brunson has hit some monster shots in this series, but New York should look to lighten his load a bit and gets the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby involved.

Prediction: De'Aaron Fox Has 22+ Points and Assists Combined

2 of 3
2026 NBA Finals - San Antonio Spurs v New York Knicks

De'Aaron Fox, perhaps the wild card of all wild cards in this round, hasn't exactly avoided turbulence during his second career postseason trip. He's been fighting an ankle injury since the conference semis and has seldom seen like himself.

And yet, he's been the steadiest hand on the ball and the player this club clearly prefers to initiate and organize its offense. He also delivered San Antonio's biggest shot in this series, a crunch-time pull-up jumper over two-time All-Defensive honoree OG Anunoby.

Despite shooting below 40 percent from the field and under 20 percent from three in this series, Fox remains entrusted with massive responsibilities. He leads this team in assists and ranks third in both minutes and touches, per NBA.com.

"Having the ball in his hands late is like a comfort thing for us," Spurs guard Stephon Castle told reporters. "I feel like whether he's shooting the ball well or not, he generates a good shot for us pretty much every time."

Between the reliable workload and the possible momentum boost from that late-game dagger, Fox appears in line for perhaps his best game of the series. And, frankly, the Spurs might need that kind of effort to even things up.

Prediction: Karl-Anthony Towns Takes 15+ Shots

3 of 3
2026 NBA Finals - Game Three

Karl-Anthony Towns has looked like the ultimate difference-maker for the Knicks this postseason. He has the best net differential of any of their starters at plus-15.3 points per 100 possessions, per NBA.com, and he's had a positive plus/minus in each of his 17 outings (plus-double digits in all but five contests).

Somehow, though, New York doesn't always seem to remember what kind of offensive weapon it has in him. He'll get frustratingly lost in the shuffle, especially late in games. Rather stunningly, he's scoreless in the fourth quarter this series.

But he wasn't really involved enough at any point of Game 3. After averaging 13.5 field-goal attempts and four assists in the first two Finals games, he took just 10 shots and tossed a single assist. New York, surely not coincidentally, saw its 13-game winning streak snapped in that outing.

"It's extremely important that he's getting touches, that he's involved, not just in the fourth quarter but obviously throughout the ballgame," Knicks coach Mike Brown told reporters. "I've got to continue trying to do a better job of getting him involved throughout the course of the game, as well as late."

History would hold that a win on Wednesday would almost guarantee New York a title. Finals teams with a 3-1 lead are 37-1. The Knicks need to bring their best in Game 3, and they're at their best when Towns is heavily involved. Look for him to match or even exceed his current playoff-high of 15 shot attempts.
