The Minnesota Timberwolves have a new look for the 2026-27 season.

The team unveiled its new retro-inspired uniforms and logo on Sunday, and the look will be familiar to those who watched the team in their early days as a franchise.

The new association and icon uniforms are similar to those that the team wore in their inaugural season in 1989. The team kept that look until 1996, when it transitioned to the uniforms synonymous with players like Kevin Garnett.

The statement uniforms are more of a nod to the late 1990s and early 2000s when Minnesota had its first major rebrand.

The team's new logo takes the color scheme from its original jerseys, but puts it on the logo that the Wolves have had since 2010. The new-look courts appear to take inspiration from a handful of the team's eras.

Minnesota is hoping its new uniforms will be the ones that finally see the franchise's first championship. While the eras the Wolves drew inspiration from had some iconic uniforms, there wasn't much success, with the team reaching the Western Conference Finals just one time before 2024.

The Timberwolves have been on the brink of competing for a title in recent years, though. Anthony Edwards led the team to the conference finals in back-to-back seasons before Minnesota lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the second round this year.

The team had the talent to make a Finals run this year, but injuries got in the way. The Wolves will look to get healthy this offseason and attack the 2026-27 campaign strong in their new threads.
