3-Year Old Jalen Brunson Superfan Put On NYC Billboard After Trending Videos Amid Knicks' Finals Run
The New York Knicks are celebrating the arrival of the 2026 NBA Finals in New York City with a billboard featuring one of Jalen Brunson's youngest fans.
Nike featured three-year-old Rya, who went viral in October because of her love for Brunson's three-point celebration, in a new billboard outside Madison Square Garden.
New York City-based creative Kerstina Renee shared a behind-the-scenes look at the photoshoot for the Nike promotion.
The Knicks are heading into Monday night's Game 3 at home with a 2-0 series lead thanks to back-to-back road wins over the San Antonio Spurs.
Brunson commented on the original post by Rya's mother, Myleen, before the Knicks invited the family to a Dec. 21 game against the Miami Heat.
Rya and her family then met Brunson before the game. Brunson celebrated their presence on the sideline by racking up a season-high 47 points and leading the Knicks to a win against the Heat.
Brunson has been key this postseason the Knicks' ongoing 13-game playoff win streak, which currently ranks as the second-longest in NBA playoff history.
Since that historic stretch started in Game 3 of the Knicks' first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks, Brunson has averaged 26.4 points, 6.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per games to lead his team past the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers and into the NBA Finals.
During Friday night's Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs, Brunson made the steal and late free throw that ultimately made the difference in his team's 105-104 victory.
The Spurs would need to mount a historic comeback to spoil the Knicks' hopes of winning their first championship since 1973. No team has yet overcome losing two home games to start out the NBA Finals.
The Knicks will hope the new billboard will spark another season-best performance from Brunson when Game 3 tips off at Madison Square Garden on Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
