This isn't the first time Brunson has made that correction.
He noted to a reporter after the Knicks' Eastern Conference Finals sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers he and Mikal Bridges had been with Villanova for two NCAA title runs, including one after Josh Hart's departure.
Brunson, Bridges and Hart will now look to make history as the fifth set of teammates to win both NCAA and NBA championships together as the NBA Finals continues.
Game 3 against the Spurs is set to tip off Monday night at 8:30 p.m. ET in New York.
