NBA Reportedly Investigating Fans Allegedly Using 'Profane Flopping Remarks Towards' Jalen Brunson

The NBA reportedly is investigating alleged comments made by two fans toward New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.

According to Chris Haynes of NBA on Prime, Brunson alleged that two fans sitting courtside "directed vulgar profane flopping remarks" toward him during New York's 105-95 road win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1.

Per Haynes, Brunson discussed the situation with referee Scott Foster after the game, but even after that conversation, "the remarks continued."

Brunson had an eventful Game 1, as he led all players with 30 points on 12-of-31 shooting, including a go-ahead three-pointer with 1:50 remaining, which proved to be the game-winning basket.

Additionally, the three-time All-Star left the game late in the first quarter and went to the locker room after seemingly suffering a knee injury.

Brunson returned after a brief absence, though, and he was at his best in the game's biggest moments, scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Wednesday's win marked the Knicks 12th in a row in these playoffs, as they have not lost a game since falling behind 2-1 in their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks.

New York won the next three games against Atlanta to take that series 4-2, and followed that up by sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Now, the Knicks hold a 1-0 lead over the Spurs in the NBA Finals, bringing them within three wins of their first championship since 1973.

Brunson and the Knicks will be back in action Friday night when the Spurs host them for Game 2 in San Antonio.
