No. 8 Mirra Andreeva def. No. 15 Marta Kostyuk, 6-1, 6-3
Maja Chwalinska def. No. 25 Diana Shnaider, 7-6 (4), 6-4
Mirra Andreeva defeated Marta Kostyuk in straight sets to reach her first Grand Slam final.
While Kostyuk looked to establish her baseline aggression early, Andreeva controlled the match with her ball redirection and excellent first serve placement.
In the first set, Andreeva won 11 of 14 points on her first serve while saving all three break points.
Andreeva had a commanding second-set lead before Kostyuk broke her serve to get back into the match.
However, Andreeva remained composed, while Kostyuk continued to make errors.
Kostyuk had hit at least 20 winners in all five of her previous matchups, but her aggression was her undoing today as she hit 34 unforced errors and only broke the 19-year-old once.
In the other semifinal, Maja Chwalinska continued her dream run with a straight-set win over No. 25 Diana Shnaider.
The pair played a thrilling first set that resulted in a tiebreaker, where Chwalinska's defense and shot-making variety were impeccable.
In the second set, Chwalinska broke Shnaider's first service game, but Shnaider quickly retaliated.
Chwalinska remained unfazed, however, breaking Shnaider's service once more before serving for the match.
The 24-year-old qualifier entered the 2026 French Open with one career Grand Slam main-draw win.
Now, she's playing with house money on the precipice of becoming the second women's qualifier ever to win a Grand Slam final.
The women's final will take place on Saturday. The match will be broadcast live on TNT and truTV and can be streamed on HBO Max.
