Updated NBA Finals Ticket Prices for Game 3 at MSG After Knicks' Win vs. Spurs in Game 1
The already-absurd ticket prices for NBA Finals games at Madison Square Garden have only gone up now that the New York Knicks hold a 1-0 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs.
Darren Rovell of CLLCT noted the cheapest ticket for Game 3 between the Spurs and Knicks at MSG is more than $6,000, with courtside seats starting at $50,000.

For perspective, the average person in this country will spend about $6,500 per month on regular expenses, including housing, transportation, food, entertainment, etc.
The enthusiasm for the Knicks only picked up after they erased a 14-point deficit to earn a 105-95 win over the Spurs.
Prior to the start of the series, get-in price for Game 1 in San Antonio was just under $1,300.
Much has been made about the way Knicks fans have taken over road arenas throughout this postseason. One explanation for that is it would be significantly cheaper for them to book a round-trip flight to San Antonio, book a hotel and buy an NBA Finals ticket than paying to attend a game at Madison Square Garden.
Despite the exorbitant cost to attend a Finals game at Madison Square Garden, it also figures to be quite an experience based on how passionate the crowds in New York have been throughout the Knicks' postseason run.
So if you have a spare $6,000 in the bank and want something to do in the New York-area on Monday night, the Spurs-Knicks game tips off at 8:30 p.m. ET.
It will be the first NBA Finals game at Madison Square Garden since June 25, 1999.
