Jalen Brunson Says Knicks 'Can't Just Be Satisfied' After Game 1 Win vs. Wemby, Spurs
Regardless of what happens in Friday's Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals, the New York Knicks will have home-court advantage when the series shifts to Madison Square Garden thanks to Wednesday's 105-95 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1.
But Jalen Brunson doesn't want to take his foot off the gas.
"We can't just be satisfied with that," he told reporters (27-second mark). "We have a long way to go. We have a lot of things we can do to be better."

Brunson Limped to Locker Room
Coming away with a split on the road is typically a good result for the first two games for the team without home-court advantage and with the worse record in the NBA Finals.
Yet the Knicks also have a golden opportunity to seize full control of the series if they take the first two in San Antonio.
Brunson is focused on doing just that after he took over in crunch time in Wednesday's win with a three-pointer and important jumper in the lane in the final minutes. He fought through an apparent knee injury he suffered in the first half and was at his best in the biggest moments even though he was just 12-of-31 from the field.
He finished with a game-high 30 points and was the driving force behind New York's 12th consecutive victory in these playoffs.
Teams don't win 12 postseason games in a row if they are satisfied with just one win on the road. The Knicks could have taken things easy in Game 4 of their second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers and again in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they did the exact opposite and finished the series with two sweeps.
They can't finish a sweep Friday, but they can deliver a resounding message by stealing another one on the road.
