2026 NBA Draft Scouting Report for Denver Nuggets' No. 35 Pick Trevon Brazile

Jonathan WassermanJun 19, 2026

The Denver Nuggets have officially selected Trevon Brazile with the No. 35 pick in the 2026 NBA draft.

Brazile hit NBA radars early as a freshman at Missouri. Injuries slowed him down, but he still used his final year of eligibility to win back scouts' support.

Brazile's archetype is clear. He projects as an athletic stretch 4 who plays at the rim or behind the arc.

Realistic Pro Comparison: Obi Toppin

1 of 3
Detroit Pistons v Indiana Pacers

The offensive scouting reports on Obi Toppin and Brazile are very similar. These are power forwards with explosive finishing and shooting range.

They aren't going to offer much else in terms of creation or defensive upside. Both bigs play exclusively off the catch.

Brazile will be used to provide easy baskets, spacing and athleticism.

Strengths

2 of 3
Arkansas v Texas Tech

Strength 1: Athleticism/finishing

Brazile is an explosive athlete with exceptional length who can impact the game above the rim on both ends of the floor. His mobility and leaping ability allow him to thrive in transition, finish plays (53 dunks) and block shots.

Strength 2: Shooting potential

Shooting has to be a part of the repertoire for Brazile, who made a career-best 45 threes this past season. He has a promising catch-and-shoot stroke for floor-spacing and pick-and-pops.

Strength 3: Cutting down mistakes

Per 40 minutes, he only averaged 1.3 turnovers and 2.5 fouls. He made fewer self-inflicted errors as a senior for Arkansas.

Weaknesses

3 of 3
Arkansas v Michigan State

Weakness 1: Physicality

Brazile can struggle against stronger, more physical frontcourt players, particularly in the post and on the glass. Adding strength will help him hold position, finish through contact and handle NBA-level physicality.

Weakness 2: Off-the-dribble scoring

Most of his offensive production comes from spot-up shooting, cuts, transition opportunities and finishes created by others. He is not currently a player who can consistently create his own shot or serve as a primary offensive option. He only made two pull-up jumpers all season.

Weakness 3: Consistency

Brazile's impact can fluctuate from game to game, especially when he is not making shots or generating defensive plays.
