2026 NBA Draft Scouting Report for Los Angeles Clippers' No. 36 Pick Baba Miller

Jonathan WassermanJun 22, 2026

The Los Angeles Clippers have officially selected Baba Miller with the No. 36 pick in the 2026 NBA draft.

After underachieving at Florida State and bouncing back at Florida Atlantic, Miller would move to Cincinnati and have his true breakout season.

He started his college career on NBA radars, then fell off, and now he's back, viewed as a compelling, versatile big man.

Miller averaged a double-double this year before showing up to the NBA combine and putting together a pair of very strong performances in front of every front office.

Essential Facts, Stats, Combine Measurements

Realistic Pro Comparison: Jonathan Isaac

Like Jonathan Isaac, Miller has center height with some power forward skills.

Miller could be disruptive and switchable defensively. Offensively, he's not advanced enough to command featured touches, but he can capitalize opportunistically as a ballhandler and play-finisher.

However, neither player is a reliable shooter, and that limits their value offensively.

Strengths

2 of 3
2026 NBA Draft Combine

Strength 1: Positional size/versatility

Miller possesses rare size for a forward while handling the ball and passing like a perimeter player. His combination of length and skill allows him to impact the game in multiple roles offensively.

Strength 2: Defensive potential

Miller's length, mobility, and instincts give him the tools to defend multiple positions. He can provide help-side rim protection, switch onto smaller players, and disrupt passing lanes with his reach.

Strength 3: Passing

He is an unselfish player with excellent court vision for his size. Miller averaged 3.7 assists, showing he can make quick reads, move the ball and function as a secondary playmaker within an offense.

Weaknesses

3 of 3
2026 Big 12 Tournament - Men's - Second Round

Weakness 1: Physicality and Strength

Despite standing nearly 7'0", Miller has never consistently played with the strength his frame suggests he should possess. Stronger forwards and centers can dislodge him from preferred spots on both ends of the floor. Adding functional strength will be critical if he's going to handle NBA physicality.

Weakness 2: Offensive Aggressiveness

Miller's skill level often exceeds his production. There are stretches when he becomes overly passive, settling into a complementary role rather than imposing himself offensively.

Weakness 3: Consistency

Few prospects in this range can match Miller's flashes of two-way versatility, but his game remains somewhat uneven from night to night. Scouts have spent years waiting for his production to consistently reflect his talent.
