Warriors' Steph Curry Signs Reported $400M Shoe Contract with Li-Ning After 2025 Under Armour Exit

Timothy RappJun 2, 2026

Stephen Curry is no longer a sneaker free agent.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Golden State Warriors superstar is signing a 10-year "landmark" shoe deal with Chinese company Li-Ning that is worth more than $400 million. Per that report, "Li-Ning extends his Curry Brand venture globally and encompasses basketball products, athleisure, the ability for Curry to sign athletes under his brand, and a full golf line."

Curry confirmed the endorsement deal on social media:

In November, Curry cut ties with Under Armour after a 13-year partnership, making him a sneaker free agent.

"Under Armour believed in me early in my career and gave me the space to build something much bigger and more impactful than a shoe," he said in a statement at the time. "I'll always be grateful for that. ... What Curry Brand stands for, what I stand for and my commitment to that mission will never change. It's only growing stronger. I'm excited for a future that's focused on aggressive growth with a continued commitment to keep showing up for the next generation."

He promptly wore a wide variety of sneakers during the 2025-26 season, from nearly a dozen different brands, and put many of them up for auction in April to benefit his Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.

A number of current NBA players are already signed with Li-Ning, including Jimmy Butler, CJ McCollum and D'Angelo Russell, while former NBA player Dwyane Wade is also sponsored by the Chinese company.

Li-Ning also sponsors a number of marathons, the Chinese table-tennis team, a 3v3 badminton tournament and works with the Chinese Badminton Association and China Badminton Super League.
