Wemby Says Spurs 'Trusted the Basketball Gods' to Force Game 7 vs. Thunder in NBA Playoffs

The San Antonio Spurs got some help from above as they evened the Western Conference Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.

Following a 118-91 victory in Game 6, Spurs star Victor Wembanyama told reporters the team "did what we needed to do."

"Trusted the game. Trusted the basketball gods," he said

Wembanyama had 28 points and 10 rebounds in his 28 minutes of action. His performance contrasted with that of Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 15 points on 6-of-18 shooting.
