Milan Momcilovic CBB Landing Spots, NIL Cost Reportedly Revealed After Withdrawing from NBA Draft

Andrew PetersMay 27, 2026

After testing the NBA draft waters, Milan Momcilovic is returning to college basketball.

Per CBS Sports' Matt Norlander, the former Iowa State sharpshooter is expected to command an NIL deal worth more than $5 million this season and is currently weighing offers from Arizona, Kentucky, Louisville and St. John's.

Momcilovic, who spent three seasons at Iowa State, was one of the best shooters in college basketball last season, putting up 16.9 points per game on 50.6 percent from the field and a wildly efficient 48.7 percent from deep.

He attended the draft combine earlier this month, but seemingly didn't get the confirmation he was seeking to put his name in.

"I think very high interest," Momcilovic said when asked what it would take for him to stay in the draft. "Obviously, some promises. But I don't think teams promise that early. So, I think if there's obviously guaranteed contracts, that would be good. If it's the late second round, those are usually two-way contracts. So, then I'd probably go back."

Momcilovic is considered to be the No. 2 player in the transfer portal by 247Sports, only behind Flory Bidunga, who committed to Louisville.

While most of the top players in the portal have made their decisions, and rosters have started to come together, most teams would be willing to add a player like Momcilovic.

Should Momcilovic choose Louisville, the Cardinals would be in a great position to compete for a national title since they already have the top transfer class, per 247Sports.

Arizona made a Final Four run last year, and Momcilovic would help the Wildcats not miss a beat this season. St. John's is hoping to get over the edge and become a national contender, while Kentucky is looking to stay relevant, so both schools could use a player like Momcilovic.

Wherever Momcilovic ends up, it seems he's going to be one of the highest-paid players in college basketball.
