After 27 years of mediocrity, the New York Knicks are finally returning to basketball's biggest stage.

The Knicks completed a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers and punched their ticket to the NBA Finals on Monday. Some of New York's most notable fans were in Cleveland to celebrate, including Timothée Chalamet, Spike Lee and Tracy Morgan.

New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani also made a joke after the sweep:

The Cavs did their best to keep Knicks fans from making an impact in Cleveland on Monday, as rapper Fat Joe and others were barred from sitting courtside. Their efforts were in vain as New York trounced Cleveland 130-93.

The Knicks now await either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs, and it's fair to say that things are going to get much harder, even with the momentum of New York's 11-game win streak.

While the Knicks have their hardest test waiting for them, Chalamet, Lee, Morgan and the rest of New York's fan base are going to make Madison Square Garden a tough place to play in the Finals.
