Amid a very tense moment between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, Isaiah Joe found a way to keep things lighthearted on the Thunder bench.
After players and coaches were attempting to break up an altercation involving Ajay Mitchell and Devin Vassell on one of the court, Joe was on the Thunder bench trolling coaches by acting like he was going to run down the floor to get involved.
Vassell was attempting to defend Stephon Castle, who was fouled by Mitchell on a fastbreak layup attempt. Things briefly got chippy between the two teams before it was calmed down.
Thunder coaches did a good job of setting up a wall in front of their bench just in case.
Joe's decision not to do anything likely saved him from a one-game suspension, as the NBA doesn't want players on the bench leaving the area to get involved in a situation.
The Thunder were all smiles after the game thanks to a 123-108 win that gave them a 2-1 series lead over the Spurs.
