San Antonio Spurs legendary former coach Gregg Popovich and star center Victor Wembanyama were seen having a conversation ahead of the team's Game 3 matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
Popovich served as San Antonio's head coach for 29 seasons, capturing five championships and setting the NBA's all-time record for coaching wins.

Wembanyama played under him throughout the beginning of his Spurs tenure from 2023-24.
Popovich eventually took a leave of absence from the organization after suffering a stroke in Nov. 2024, laterย transitioningย to a full-time position as San Antonio's president of basketball operations.
Still, the 77-year-old has remained around the team and addressed the roster prior to the beginning of their current playoff run.
San Antonio is tied 1-1 with Oklahoma City in the Western Conference Finals through two contests, winning Game 1 on the road before dropping Game 2 on Wednesday.
Wembanyama has thrived on both ends of the floor during the 2026 playoffs, averaging 22.1 points and 12.3 rebounds to go along with 4.0 blocks per game. He's shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from behind the arc while attempting 4.2 triples on a nightly basis.
Game 3 between the Spurs and Thunder is on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
