Giants' Roy Robertson-Harris Reportedly Suffers Serious Achilles Injury After Dexter Lawrence Trade
Having already lost depth on their defensive line after trading Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals, the New York Giants could be without Roy Robertson-Harris for the entire 2026 season.
Per The Athletic's Dan Duggan, Robertson-Harris tore his Achilles during the Giants' final OTA practice of the week on Thursday.
ESPN's Jordan Raanan added the expectation is Robertson-Harris will miss the upcoming season.

Underrated Trade Landing Spots for 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk
The Giants pulled off a surprise move leading up to the 2026 NFL draft by sending Lawrence to Cincinnati in exchange for the No. 10 overall pick.
In the wake of that trade, the Giants added to the interior of their defensive line by signing D.J. Reader and Shelby Harris in free agency.
Robertson-Harris was entering his second season with the Giants after signing a two-year contract in March 2025. He started all 17 games for the club last season, recording six quarterback hits and three tackles for loss.
The 32-year-old has played 10 seasons in the NFL. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2016, but he didn't appear in a game until the following year.
After four seasons with the Bears, Robertson-Harris signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had the best run of his career from 2021 to '23, recording 32 quarterback hits and 9.5 sacks in 47 games.
The Jaguars traded Robertson-Harris to the Seattle Seahawks midway through the 2024 season before he went on to sign with New York.
With Robertson-Harris likely out of commission for the 2026 season, the Giants will turn to Reader and Harris to hold things down on the interior of their defensive line.
The success of New York's defense will come down to the pass-rushers off the edge, particularly Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Abdul Carter and rookie Arvell Reese.
Burns finished second in the NFL with 16.5 sacks last season. Carter ranked second on the team with four sacks in 17 games.
