The Philadelphia 76ers selected Labaron Philon Jr. on Tuesday with the No. 22 overall pick at the 2026 NBA draft.
Below, we'll break down the former Alabama guard's highlights and scouting report.
Highlights
Scouting Report
B/R's Jonathan Wasserman compared Philon's game to New Orleans Pelicans point guard Dejounte Murray, noting that his "identity still revolves around dribbling creativity and getting to spots. Philon has a dangerous change of speed, deceleration ability and handling. He's a more advanced isolation and ball-screen scorer with his pull-up game and craft around the rim."
He added that Philon had a "breakout season fueled by improved shooting and finishing."
The 20-year-old guard averaged 22 points and five assists per game this past season, shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from three.
He was superb in the NCAA tournament, putting up 29 points in the first round against Hofstra and 35 points in Alabama's Sweet 16 loss against eventual champions Michigan. Across three March Madness games he also averaged 7.7 assists.
Philly will be hoping he has that level of impact at the next level.
