New Giannis Trade Rumors Uncover Bucks' NBA Draft Mindset amid Growing Buzz on Potential Deal
The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly open to receiving trade offers for star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, and it sounds like they're hoping to get a deal done before the 2026 NBA draft.
ESPN's Jeremy Woo unveiled his latest mock draft on Tuesday and predicted that the Bucks would use the No. 10 pick to select Tennessee wing Nate Ament. Woo added that while this is the Bucks' lone 2026 pick, rival teams "say Milwaukee has been operating as if it will have multiple selections in this draft."
Trading Antetokounmpo would obviously score a monumental haul that includes draft assets, so the Bucks would certainly relish the chance to replace their longtime face of the franchise with a new crop of prospects from this year's deep class of talent.
B/R's Jonathan Wasserman predicted in his latest mock draft that the Bucks would use the No. 10 pick to select New Zealand power forward Karim Lopez.
It now appears that the Bucks could find a resolution for their situation with Antetokounmpo sooner rather than later, so Milwaukee's roster could look very different by the time the NBA draft rolls around on June 23-24.
