Gilgeous-Alexander beat out Denver's Nikola Jokić, San Antonio's Victor Wembanyama, L.A.'s Luka Dončić and Detroit's Cade Cunningham to claim the award.

"It's special," he told reporters about becoming the first Thunder player to ever win consecutive MVP awards. "Not so much for me, but for the city, the organization. There's been four MVPs in this building in the last 12 years, and I don't think that's a coincidence."

SGA, 27, averaged 31.1 points, 6.6 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 68 games this season, shooting 55.3 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from three. The Thunder outscored opponents by 16.3 points per 100 possessions with him on the court, per NBA.com, a mark that drops to plus-3.6 when he sits.

Off the court, Gilgeous-Alexander is well known for his love of fashion, so hooking up his teammates with watches and coats was very much in character.
